Me and my wife dine here frequently. The staff is phenomenal and always friendly even when they are slammed busy. And the food never disappoints. Fish and chips is the best on the island. And the specials are always just that. Very special. Great portions, and everything is always so fresh.
Absolutely the best fish and chips both my wife and I have ever had, we had the cod which was very tasty and the fries were amazing! The sauce it comes with with tasty with the fries and fish. 100% coming back. This place definitely needs their own sit down restaurant it would be very popular there in Langley. Sooo good.
Perfect place to stop if you're on Whidbey. The lamb ribs were incredible. Great flavors, perfectly cooked vegetables. Highly recommend this place. Super fast, super delicious, very inexpensive for what you're getting. The chef used to have a restaurant in Seattle, but they downsized into a food truck. The service was great. The food truck is set behind a brewery and you have to purchase a drink from the brewery to sit and eat at the tables but that was fine because we got to sit outside and eat with my friend's dog.
Like others mention, if it's your first time, you will get lost trying to find it. It's behind the brewery at the back, and it's a food truck. You either can go through the restaurant to the back, or drive around one block and enter from the back parking area. We went on a Saturday for lunch time, there was normal of customer, but not packed and line out the door type of establishment. Like many have mentioned here, the wait time is pretty darn long. Expect 45+ min or more for your order. This is the downside of this place. Foodwise, it's pretty good. We enjoyed everything we ate, but it wasn't life changing in anyway. Portion size was fair, and prices was fair. Since it's a food truck, they don't have a full seating available, you just have to sit anywhere there is a spot there. If you purchase a beverage or alcohol in the brewery up front, you are able to bring your food there and sit at the tables there. Overall, the food is good, but the wait is bad. Be ready for a takeout order unless you want to purchase some drinks from the brewery as well.
First time on Whidbey island and decided to try this place as it had high praise. At first, can be a little confusing to get to because it's a food truck behind a brewery, but once you enter and go to the back, you can find it easily. The people were very friendly and patient while we looked at the menu. I got the loco moco with some baked beans and I have to say, while the loco moco was good, those were some extremely good baked beans. Flavor of those beans were really good and enjoyed sharing them with my girlfriend. Back to the loco moco. The meat was cooked well. Everything within the dish was delicious and mixed well together. Overall, if you're wanting to try someplace new and are on Whidbey island, this is a spot I'd say you should visit :). There's good food, live performances happening, and you're close to the water if you decide not to sit and walk around!
The honey BBQ wings are truly out of this world. MUST TRY HONEY BBQ WINGS I REPEAT. Also got a pork sandwich, which honestly was bland (no sauce), although the meat quality was decent. But the wings alone - made this place really stand out. Get a high quality sour beer at Double Bluff brewery inside.
1st time here with family and friends. Been wanting to try this place for awhile. We all were very impressed and the food was fabulous! We will definitely be back when visiting Langley!!
We had Halibut fish n chips and the Kalua pork plate. Fish, curly fries, and aioli were fantastic; pork was delightful, but would have been even better with some jus over the top. The beans were the best I've ever had! Neither of us really enjoyed the slaw, but we would definitely dine at Ikaika again.
